Every renovation starts with a clean slate. Existing lawn areas, landscape beds, and hardscape features are removed using a skid steer, mini excavator, and any other appropriate equipment for the scope of work. All debris including grass, shrubs, trees, bulk material, and soil is hauled off-site so the work area is fully cleared and ready for the build.
With the site cleared, we begin with any hardscape features that are part of the project scope. Paver patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, walkways, and other hardscape elements are installed first since they establish the structural foundation that everything else is built around.
Once the hardscapes are in place, we build out the landscape beds. This phase includes planting trees, shrubs, and perennials in their designated locations, followed by edging installation and the application of ground cover material, whether that’s decorative rock or wood mulch depending on the design.
If the project requires slope correction, lawn leveling, or topsoil work, that takes place after the hardscapes are established. We bring in and grade quality topsoil as needed to create a smooth, properly draining surface for the lawn and planting areas.
If an irrigation system is part of the project, underground lawn irrigation is installed at this stage. Drip zones for planting beds are put in after shrubs are planted but before mulch or rock goes down so the system is properly positioned and protected from the start.
The final phase is bringing your new lawn to life. For most projects we install sod, which gives you an immediately green, finished result while eliminating the erosion concerns and extended wait time that come with seed. Once the sod is down and the site is cleaned up, your renovation is complete. We also offer a wide array of maintenance services to keep your new landscape looking immaculate for years to come.
If a low-maintenance approach is more your speed, we also install artificial turf.
